Cold Shower Challenge Day 14
Today day 14. Two weeks so far.
We woke up at 9am and I started the usual morning routine. However I felt as if I was moving in slow motion. I thought I’d had a good sleep, even though it was 11:30pm and I was still trying to get Keegan to sleep. Was frustrating to be honest, as I was so damn tired.
Finally he was asleep, I rolled over and was out like a light. Which is very unusual for me, but I’m not complaining. I did wake up at 6am, stumbled to the bathroom and back to bed. This isn’t old man syndrome or diabetes. This is drinking a lot of water. lol. I mainly drink water. No coffee, no tea, no soft drink. 1 V Pure a day, it’s an energy drink made from sparkling Apple juice, has less sugar than the regular energy drink. A lot less sodium too. And considering I used to be a 4 a day person, of the high sugar type, as well as regular coke drinker throught out the day. I take that as a win.
Anyway, this is a cold shower blog, not a diet blog.
So even though I had a good sleep, you can’t catch up on sleep lost, or store it. I still woke up feeling tired. I got to the cold shower and it woke me up. That’s for sure. Long enough for me to decide it was time to have a shave.
I hadn’t shaved in over a week, just. I already knew this was gonna hurt. Always does after I haven’t shaved for more than two days. There’s a fair bit of growth after a week. I was not looking forward to this at all…
Except…
It didn’t hurt.
Like, at all. It was a smooth shave and my skin felt good afterwards. Normally, it tears the crap out of my skin. I used my Nivea for Men face moisturiser. Even that usually stings my face in the worst areas. Well, normally it does, not today.
What the hell is going on here?
Is this the result of having cold showers? I gotta test this out because nothing else has changed in my shaving routine. So I’m not going to shave again, for a week. Then shave on Sunday again. The following week I’ll shave every day.
Normally, I hate shaving, whether it’s everyday or once a week. It always tears my skin to shreds and often have a shaving rash on my neck for a few hours at least. Time will tell.
